An SJW celebration where it all began...

In the middle of class tonight,

One of SJW's crew members snuck out of the studio and surprised Director Mara Bacon-Chang with this edible arrangement from uh...err...Edible Arrangements, lol.  Everyone joined along and sang Happy Birthday as SJW embarked on its 1st year anniversary some 370 days later at Central YMCA where SJW was first launched.

It was also a birthday celebration of dance, where countless hours and pairs of feet have stomped upon the wooden floors of that very Central YMCA dance studio where Mara taught dance classes since the early 90's.  These humble beginnings also included Mara's first instructional hip hop/street dance classes at Big City Productions' first dance studio, which is presently SJW's sister site at Boogie Down Productions. Funny how things come full circle...

But with that said, again to all of our SJW swerkaholics, we can't thank you folks enough for the support, good times, good dance and good fitness.

Happy Birthday to all of us...werk it
