Join us as we help raise funds for Roosevelt High School's PROJECT GRADUATION!

Then we're rushing over to the windward side for our 3:00pm Mana Fitness class in Käne`ohe.

Your last chance to SWERK with Charli will be on Monday at our 5:30 Boogie Down Productions class and 6:30 Hip Hop 1 class.

Starting on SATURDAY...

National Dance Week Hawa`i JAM-A-THON
Mililani Mauka Elementary, 9:00-11:30am  $10 donation
Join an awesome line up of Zumba instructors and our SJW `ohana for a 2 1/2 sweat-fest!
Our newest SJW Kumu-In-Training, Debbie Rosario, will be leading both Zumba and SJW routines, so lets all get out there and support her!

STEPS TO HEALTH
Pearlridge Mall, Uptown, 10am-2pm
A new walking path is being opened around the mall, so Pali Momi is hosting a health fair.
SJW will be leading routines from 1:15-2pm in the Center Court area of Uptown.
FREE!!!

Then on SUNDAY...

20th Annual CHILDREN AND YOUTH DAY
State Capitol and Surrounding Capitol District, 10am-3pm
Mara will be emceeing the Teen Stage with our good friend, Gayla Traylor.
Gayla and the Kamehameha Elementary Keiki Dance Fitness Team, E OLA KOA, will be rocking the stage from 11:40-12 noon.
At 12:00, the 5-2-1-0 music will start and we'd LOVE for all of you to join us with this routine to promote healthy lifestyles for our island keiki.

Last TWO Classes of 2012

ALOHA!

As we near the end of 2012, the SJW crew would like to wish all of you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

All Honolulu classes are on break now, but you can still attend our Mana Fitness Studio classes on Sundays (Dec. 23 and 30) at 3:00pm (Käne`ohe).

GREAT NEWS:  We've been renewed for another month at UFC Gym-BJ Penn, so mark your calendars!  The first one is already on Wednesday, January 2nd!  4 classes total, free for gym members, $5 for everyone else!  SWERRRRK!

And don't forget to support the Kamehameha Schools Children's Chorus with their fundraiser on January 12th.

SJW will be there... along with E OLA KOA (Kamehameha's Keiki Dance Fitness Team) and ZIN's Gayla Traylor, Pomai Akiona, Yumi Kraft and Rodney Kahalepuna!  It's gonna ROCK!!!

SJW's Honolulu classes will resume the week of January 7th with a few changes to our schedule, so be sure to follow us on FACEBOOK (send a friend request) or keep checking this blog for updates!

Support Kamehameha Schools Children's Chorus, jamathon style!

What's up everyone,

If ya got January 12th free and want to kick off the 2013 year on a healthy headstart, then be sure to come to Kamehameha Schools Children's Chorus "Livin' Out Loud" Jamathon/Dance Fitness Fundraiser.  It'll be bumpin' with all of the gang from Street Jamz Werkout, E Ola Koa and Zumba.  For $10 ($15 at the door) not only will you help send KSCC to Hawai'i Island, but there will be complimentary refreshments too!  It doesn't get any better than that!  So be there from 1-4pm at Kamehameha Schools' Kalama Dining Hall!

Dance for Dyslexia... Making a Difference...

Aloha!

SJW is always humbled yet proud to kökua our community through Jamathons... and this past Saturday was no exception.  Although the crowd was "small yet mighty", the crew truly SWERKED it with style and grace... all the while promoting dyslexia awareness, acceptance and understanding.

And much can be said for any "condition" our friends and family can be affected with.

We learned that at this Jamathon, there was a new participant... someone who had never really tried dance-fitness before... but at the encouragement of her family, decided to attend.  And although she's had to deal with her own physical challenges over the years... she did it!  3 hours later and she's earned the respect of everyone there and even walked away with a free-class coupon from SJW. She is now encouraged to keep at it... to keep dancing as a therapeutic way of helping with her condition.

So it is with great joy that we say MAHALO to the crew and all the instructors who truly made a difference that day.  Serving one another... Isn't that what it's all about?

Shake Yo Body 2 Shake a Nation Jam-A-Thon...

Come and "Shake Yo Body 2 Shake A Nation" at a Word of Life Jamathon Fundraiser for only $10 pre-sale & $15 (@ the door)! It's 3 hrs of various music, styles of dancing & FUN! If you haven't attended this type of event, we urge you to come & bring a friend! You'll be ROCKIN' with various instructors from Hot Hula Fitness, Zumba Fitness, Zumbatomics & of course, Mara w/ Street Jamz Werkout. Even if you don't dance, it's ok! The important thing is moving your body, getting a great cardio workout & having a BLAST!

You can purchase tickets through any of the team members from WOLCC or contact Michele Meletia Morgado at 554-0671.  They also created a Facebook events page.  RSVP there, and they'll hold a $10 ticket for you at the entrance to the Jamathon.
